Who is Raven?

Hey, I’m Raven.

I’m a mother to five wild + free children, a lover of slow moments, deep conversations, warm coffee, open windows, barefoot summers, and finding beauty in the ordinary parts of life most people rush past. My life is loud, beautiful, imperfect, grace filled chaos , and honestly, I wouldn’t trade it for anything.

Photography has been part of my heart for as long as I can remember. Even as a little girl, I was constantly trying to hold onto moments. The laughter. The emotion. The feeling of a season before it quietly slipped away. But the person who truly nurtured that love in me was my grandfather. He believed in me deeply. He encouraged my creativity, reminded me to chase what set my soul on fire, and taught me to see beauty in everyday life.

Recently, I lost him.

And in the middle of grieving someone I loved so deeply, I found myself searching endlessly for photographs of him. Little moments. Ordinary moments. Anything I could hold onto. But there simply weren’t enough.

That realization changed me.

It made me realize how incredibly sacred photographs truly are. We often do not understand their value until they become all we have left to reach for.

One day, the photos you almost didn’t take become the ones you treasure most. The wrinkled hands. The baby curls. The way someone looked at you when they laughed. The people we love frozen in a moment of time before life changed again.

That is why photography means so much to me now.

Not because I want perfection.

Not because life always looks polished.

But because our lives deserve to be remembered honestly.

The raw emotion.

The genuine connection.

The quiet in-between moments that somehow become the most meaningful ones of all.

Whether I’m documenting a wedding day, welcoming a baby earth side, or simply capturing your family exactly as you are in this season, my heart behind every session is the same.

I want you to have photographs that feel alive years from now. Images that bring you back to the feeling of that moment, not just what it looked like.

After moving from state to state, I’ve now settled back into Missouri and am so excited to continue growing this dream here. More than anything, I want the people who step in front of my camera to feel comfortable, seen, celebrated, and deeply valued.

Because at the end of the day, photography is not really about photos.

It’s about love.

It’s about connection.

It’s about remembering the people and moments that shaped us long after time moves forward.

I truly cannot wait to tell your story.
